Why are you updating the 'predictions' every night though? They're not really predictions if you're updating them along with their actual scores. At the end you'll only be a maximum of 2 points off any teams 'prediction' |

Yesterday you had the Leafs projected for 90 points with a regulation loss to Columbus. The Leafs won that game, so got a bonus 2 points, putting them projected at 92.
Today you project them for 91. Which game from now until the end of the season do you think the Leafs will now lose in OT/SO (rather than a victory) due to them beating Columbus last night? |

It's a heavy algorithm. The later it gets in the season the longer it takes to perform calculations, especially with all these unexpected outcomes throwing monkey wrenches around. Ek has a stack of GPU's working on it. |
